Dear Irving STEAM Magnet Families,

I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Washington Irving STEAM Magnet. It is a privilege to join a school community with such a rich tradition of innovation, creativity, and academic excellence.

As an educator with 30 years of experience in LAUSD, I am deeply committed to ensuring that every student thrives academically, socially, and emotionally. At Irving, we believe that when schools, families, and communities work together as partners, we create the strongest foundation for student success.

Our focus this year will be on:

• Strengthening our STEAM programs through hands-on, inquiry-based learning
• Supporting the whole child in a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
• Building strong connections between students, families, staff, and community partners

I am dedicated to listening, learning, and working alongside all members of our school community to make this an extraordinary year. Whether you are a returning family or joining us for the first time, you are an important part of the Irving STEAM Magnet family.

Together, we will continue to inspire curiosity, foster creativity, and prepare our students to lead and succeed in a rapidly changing world.
